Ohlins R&T valving limit

Ok, I have searched and have found mixed results regarding the question of what is the max spring you can run on the R&T without a revalve?

I am looking to run 650lb (11.5k)/ 750lb (13.5k) front/rear springs. Im sure the front can handle that amount, but can the rear without a revalve?

I've heard say if its under 14k in the rear you are fine, others say anything over 20% you need a revalve.

Thanks,

Scott

You'll get mixed feedback. I've been told anything 2k past the default 8/10 requires a revalve.

Probably get better feedback from a vendor or Ohlins themselves.

Default is actually 10f/8r, so even going to a more proper setup of 10f/12r would require the rears be revalved.

When I spoke with Ohlins USA I was told +/-4k was the limit. Its one of those things where you can be at the limit so to speak or past the limit and it will be OK I suppose but no matter what you do they will always perform the best valved for a specific rate.

I ran my car with stock valving on 8/10 then 10/11.7 (650#). Then finally had them revalved and went 650/800 which is very similar to what youre looking to get. The fronts would technically by the rule be fine but if youre looking at Ohlins do it right and get them valved accordingly.

Ya thats what I will do. This way if i want to run a little stiffer eventually the shock will be able to handle a little more.
