And it weighs a ton. Sorry, that's why I changed mine...just weighs waaaay too much. In the scheme of weight reduction, it's an easy few pounds to save, but yeah the stock one works great, I'm not arguing that point, and it's such a minor mod that it doesn't make much sense to do, unless your'e going all out on weight reduction.

I don't think people are changing JUST the strut brace to save weight - it's part of an overall weight reduction plan...not a standalone mod.

Exactly, thanks Adam. I think people were missing what I was saying. You'd be stupid to think that changing the strut bar only will take so much weight out of the car that it would make any noticeable difference, but when done along with several other things, adds up to some serious differences.

I had them Jet Hot ceramic coated. I did the same with the 2G exhaust manifold I put in my '90 GSX. Well worth it IMO.

^^^I believe the guy used the SEARCH button which led him to this thread. If he didn't SEARCH, people would be telling him to search.

This is an appropriate reason to bump. Legitimate question.

I am still looking but was hoping to save some time going this route.

The only reason to buy a new one is for cutting weight in my opinion. It's debatable if they even do much in the first place. Buying an aftermarket one is more for bling than anything. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind getting one to dress up my engine bay I think it's Carbing that comes with an intergrated master cylinder brace. That's the one I'd get.

Edit:
Oh damn I just relized how old this post it
