Need Help with RPF1s PLEASE
Hey guys I'm new here, so I'm sorry if I'm asking something that's already been answered a million times already butI really need your help.
I'm currently running Enkei RPF1s 18x9.5 +15 on my EVO III with 255/45s
I need help because no matter what I do i keep rubbing hard on the rear tires. Sometimes it even cuts into the tires
I've rolled the rear fenders, raised the back suspension and tried to firm up the coils too, but still time and time again over bumps I keep rubbing. It's really ruining the performance aspect of the car. I don't feel comfortable moving on with more mods until I get this fixed.
I've seen guys on here run the same wheel set up on here but I can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for anywhere.
Any answers help, thanks again!

smaller tires, more negative camber, raise suspension even more, or higher offset wheels. If it was up to me I would start with smaller tires, 255/45s in 18s is huge. 255/45s is almost two inches taller than the stock tire size. I would look for something in the 245/40 or 255/35 category.

As the guys have noted, you have a couple of issues for sure. That +15 has got to go. No good way to make those fit on a stock body EvO
And, as noted, the tire aspect ratio is out of spec.
If you have other questions, let us know

Need to get an offset in the +25 to +38 range. You'll be bale to squeeze a 255/35r18 in there at +25, and the higher you go, you can get a 265/35 in there around the +32 mark.

offset is off and tires . 18x9.5 +27 wheel, 265/35 tire

Thanks for all the advice everybody, it's been a huge help. I'm looking into getting something with a better fitting offset.
Also on I side note, I was wrong about my tire size. I actually have 255/35, NOT 255/45, my bad, but the issue is still the same. Thanks again guys, you've been a big help

These are old photos of my old car. ran 255/35 on 9.5 +15
evo dave front fenders
rears were rolled and had a very slight pull
They only rubbed on two occasions. People in the rear or hitting bumps of a certain height at a certain speed. It was tolerable
I think I took these photos back in 2007-2008 when the hatred for +15 was not around yet lol

Heres my layout vs the +15 noted above (the +15 is the one that pokes further 15mm / .59"). I run this street setup (265/40 Federal on 17x9.5 +30 vs the 18x9.5 +15 w/255/35's)
I have more than a minor rear fender pull to get full clearance w/zero rub regardless of any amount of suspension compression. The below layout should give others a sense of the extreme body work that would be needed to properly fit +15's

Some of us function guys just want to point out that +15's are simply a show offset on the EvO (which is perfectly OK, as long as its understood there are limitations to that low offset)

Thats a pretty slick diagram.
I wanted the wheels to sit as flush as possible without running spacers. Keep in mind the +22 offset was not available when I purchased these wheels back in if I recall 2007? Or then again I was not aware of it.
I never did any racing that involved hard turning or putting the car on 3 wheels, I cruised and at some points took it to the 1/4 mile.
I dont regret the wheels, though if I were to do it again now that I have two kids to plop in the back seat I may consider a little less aggressive offset.
Thanks for the info
