Brake pedal mush

I installed some SS brake lines and bled the system. The brake pedal feels VERY mushy both when the motor is on and off. I can hear a wind noise coming from the engine bay when I pump the brake pedal, does this mean there is still more air in the system and will require more bleeding?

Sounds like needs more bleeding. How much fluid did you run through it?

Was only about 300ml. Still got 1.5L brake fluid unopened will give it another bleed. Was worried it was the booster hose but I did a test on that and it's fine.

If you have ABS, there maybe air pockets in the valve assy.

Since my EvO has no ABS, im not sure what the process is, off hand, w/out searching

Yeah bled it twice today feels better now. The SS brake lines are different to what I expected but I discovered the other day the previous owner had **** brake pads which is maybe why they don't bite so well.

Nice glad to hear you got the mush out of the pedal. I was going to say keep bleeding too but looks like you got that squared away! And yes bite or lack thereof my first target would be the pads. Do you know what kind of pads you have in there? And what sort of driving are you looking to do with the car as that'll dictate what sort of pads you should be after.

Previous owner put in some bendix pads, the car was completely stock when I bought it so he probably put in some low end ones. I've already got some Forza FP3s sitting in my room that I will put on when these pads wear out.
