Having issues getting the bolt in. The filler neck is in the way. I loosened the filler neck and I still can’t get the play to get the bolt in. Never had to remove a filler neck in all the years I have owned an Evo . Anybody have any tricks?

IIRC, some of the subframe bolts need to be loosened also. And its still a PITA, but it can be done without actually removing anything.

Definitely lame its in the way, but its not something you should have to deal with very often.

EDIT: Realized this is a week ok. But answered anyways in case some one searches for it in the future. OP, did you manage to get it done?

I was able to unbolt the filler neck and move it enough to have access to pull the bolt out.
