I ran your setup vs mine which needed all the rear fender work (roll, pull, bumper bolt etc). Yours is the slightly pinched tire view which sticks out just a bit further

Its going to be tight & my guess is that you will have some sort of rear rub at high articulation values

Remove the rear strut & disconnect one side of the rear sway bar & cycle the rear tire into the well & check for clearance.
I run a Federal EvO tire 265/40 & it really measures like a 275 (most Federals run wide)
See image here showing the tire pushed into the well, checking for clearance

How am i supposed to do all of this when i take it to the tire shop. I mean is it absolutely necessary to do that. Im really just looking for answers to if it rubs then how do i fix it and please forgive me if it sounds stupid, but i just wanted a bit meatier tires
The tires that are currently on it are cooper zeon rs 3 s 235/40r18s and my fortune auto 500s are max height front and rear

You can have the tires installed & then do that at your home ship if you suspect rub.

Keep us posted on how they fit

If they end up rubbing how much rub is too much. If its just the occasional bump that i hit will that be livable or no?
Also will the width of the wheel itself save me in terms of fitment, i know its such a goofy spec, i didnt buy them and they are on the car from the precious owner i was wondering when i buy new wheels hopefully this summer what should i look for.

Really any form of rub is a no go. Many of us have tracked our EvOs so rubbing is a definite deal breaker.

Yes, the 8.75" is helping the fit. Its the +20 that is really making this difficult

Well, i got the tires mounted and they do rub on tighter turns in the rear the fronts only rub at full lock which i expected. What can i do to fix the rub in the rear
ive read about the bumper bolt relocation and i can't seem to find a thread that shows the bolt it's talking about

Can you add a pic or 2 of the setup? A side pic looking at the tire as it sits in the rear well

Heres a pic of my bumper bolt relocation. Its a very simple concept.

I recommend you disconnect one of the rear struts & disconnect one side of the sway bar & cycle the rear susp as noted above.

Cant tell from that angle. The pic should be looking from the top down or from the rear looking fwd, so we can see the wheel & tire poke
