I'm also in the market...
Seems like most rear strut bars in the market are hinge types
(includes cusco, I believe)... anyone sells a good hingeless
rear strut bar??

Thanks,

I ordered the hingeless Ralliart from Vivid last week. I don't believe the hinged models do much good because the amount of torque on those bars is tremendous. I asked the guy at Vivid to look at the 3 hingeless bars (Ralliart, Monster Sport, and Rigid). He said the Ralliart bar looked the most professionally made (and it's the lightest). I know it's expensive, but the price difference isn't that much.

When I install the Ralliart I'll take pics and post again...

How much is the ralliart rear strut bar??
Could it work with cusco's V shape rear strut add-on bar?

Thanks,

A hingeless bar like ralliart/monster/rigid or 3 point bar
like cusco's...?

I have the cusco rear strut tower brace, v-brace, and trunk bar.
I installed the cusco rear strut tower brace first and could not tell a difference. I was able to feel a difference with the v-brace. Also, when I finally added the trunk bar I felt a difference.

IMO the tunk bar is the best bang for the buck at 80 bucks, and the Evo already has the mounting holes. You just have to trim the plastic trunk cover.

Can you post some pictures of the V-brase and trunk bar? How much and where did you get the V-Brase from?

The v-brace can be a pain to install, just because you have to adjust it, mark the holes, drill through the car, then mount the plate from the bottom, and tighten it down. I was lucky and had help from another Evo driver who had already installed it on his car.

Let me snap some pictures tonight and I will try and post them tomorrow.
As for places to buy,
Maddperformance parts and Boost Solutions carry these, along with everyone else. I went with these guys because they are local.
George at Boost Solutions is pretty good about getting things at a good price, and says he will match other's prices
