It is a give and take and only you can decide where you fall on the comfort/performance curve.

I personally have 0 issue with the ohlins on Wisconsin roads which are highly variable in condition. That said, I still make an effort to miss specific rail crossings, dodge potholes, etc; but these are all things I do in my daily and did on the stock suspension as well lol.
