Deciding between Tein H-Tech VS. Tanabe GF210!
Well Im thinking about lowering my car and I have pretty much narrowed it down to Tanabe's GF 210 or Tein H-Techs (other suggestions appreciated as well).
I know the GF210 lowers the [F: 1.5 in R: 1.0 in]
and the
Tein H-Techs lower the car by [F: 1.3 in R: 0.3 in]
(pls correct me if Im wrong)
I wanna lower my car but at the same time maintain daily drivability. I park my car in a 5 stor garage and so I wouldn't wanna spend 15 minutes getting out of the garage. I am going to go get 18" rims soon too.
Can you guys help out by posting pictures of Evos using these springs ? and what are the pros and cons in performance wise?
Any problems I should pay special attention too while installing these springs?
Thanks!
I have the tanabe setup with 18s, but don't have pictures here on my work computer. do a search and you will see how good it looks. I love them. sure it is a little stiffer, but it doesn't bother me at all. Body roll was reduced also. I'll get pics up soon.
I think that you should go with whichever is cheaper. With the 18's you'll be golden with either of the springs you choose. I have a grounding issue once in a while with the Tanabe's but very seldom.
Thanks. But i've heard something about the Tanabe's having a Toe in problem in the rear.
Also due to the fact that the stock springs are linear and the Tanabe's are progressive. Does it make a difference at all? Or does it create any problems?
thanks!

a good alignment will fix any toe issues
the rear spings appear to be a tiny bit progressive (if that makes sense). the bottom inch or so is very tightly wound and gives a lot easier that the rest of the spring. the fronts are linear though. I have zero complaints and I have yet to read any complaints on this forum (well I heard one comlaint that they were too stiff, but that isn't much of a complaint)

The rear springs on the Tanabes are not progressive, some coils are just inactive, they sit on each other. Springs themselves will not change tow, however the drop will. Some car will have to be realigned and some will not.
