Need Tires Now Help!!

I want a tire that is close to stock with performance with a little better wear and ride. I would like a summer tire that handles rain well. The only thing I am concerned with is it get cold here in th winter, say 20 or a little colder sometimes, but doesnt snow hardly at all. So, I think I want to stick to a summer tire for most performance. I am leaning towards the Goodyear F1G8-D3 for now since its moderately priced and seems to tread water well. Any suggestions for under 600 or so and if its way cheaper than I am cool with it. thanks for all help.

There doesn't have to be snow or ice on the ground to have problems. Temps consistently below 20 deg will cause summer tires like the GS-D3 to turn hard like a marble and provide no traction.
If you still plan going the summer route, the GS-D3 is an excellent tire to have. Great dry/wet traction, rides well, and has good tread life. Others to consider are Michelins Pilot Sport PS2, and the Bridgestone S-03

So you want a summer/winter tire that handles better than stock, doesn't wear, is great in the rain and will also do the dishes for you?

At any rate, any summer tire that's worth it's salt will be a hockey puck in cold weather. Right now I'm using Kumho MX and they're pretty good for the price (having come out of a set of S-03's). Sidewall's a little softer than stock, but the grip is good for the money.

Goodyear F1 GS D3's are nice, though

I'm enjoying the kumho MX tires myself. slightly softer sidewall, but for the price $126 you can't go wrong

You can look up the weights on their site, the MX is lighter than the S03.

Check out the Azenis (sp?) they are in inexpensive tire, that are pretty sticky and they are cheap, like 100 bucks.

Pirelli PZero Nero M+S should do the trick! I use these as my winter tires, but bought them knowing the Advans would eventually be toast and the Zeros would have to pull year-round duty. Reasonably grippy for an all-season and quieter and more compliant than the Advans. Believe it or not, they have NO siping and rely on silica in the compound for cold temp grip. Lack of siping keeps the tread blocks big and meaty for grip in warmer weather - less tread squirm.

Trust me on this one, you do not want to have summer performance tires on your car if your get any ice or snow. Way too dangerous IMHO.
