A lil' Pkg came today
it gets stored in the grove rather than under the surface of the pad and escapes while it isn't under the pad. The small curvical groves leave less room for stress concentrations to form.

actually i think it was Sports Compact Car (could be wrong) that tested this rotor and the stock EVO 8 brembos. Tons of info there on the inside and outside temp. Their conclusion was that the stock Brembo Rotors are really good unless you want to cut some weight . Also replacement stassis rotors are $225 vs $250 for stock brembos...so u save on the replacement discs down the line.
so from what i gathered their conclusion on the EVO brake system was
1. replace stock pads with Ferrodo pads
2. Stock rotors
but that doesn't mean stassis is not good. I would get 'em in a heartbeat if i had the dough
