Maxi,

Is there already a Superleggera in 18" that fits the Evo without fitting spacers?

Did you have to fit spacers with your Enkei?

I've heard that the Volk TE37 and the Prodrive GC-06 are basically the same wheel. Both are forged and some even believe that they are indeed the same wheel with different logos on them.

Anyone know the differences between the TE37 and the GC-06s? Would putting Prodrive on an Evo look goofy? I know Prodrive isn't all about Subaru rally as they also do road racing with Ferrari, but??!

is it only becuase of fitting the brake? any word?
Larger brakes is part of the reason. Looks is another.
In anycase, those "supercars" have power to spare, so bigger/heavier wheels/tires
don't slow them down as much as on "normal" cars.

I also look at race cars and they genarlly all have big wheels. is it only becuase of fitting the brake? any word?
Race cars certainly don't run big wheels for looks . They generally run 18x13 or larger. Why? Because that let's them run larger tires which means more grip. It's a tradeoff, sacrificing acceleration for improved cornering. That's why.

hmm,..well I've got 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 GT-C Face 2's and they weighed in @ 22lbs(for the rear wheel 9.5 wide)--so I would imagine 18's would drop about a lb or lb and a half depending on width?

No one has mentioned the SSR Comps!! They weigh in at 12.5lbs each in 17" flavor..... I had a set on my WRX and acceleration was up significantly.

I had them mated with some 20.9lb Toyo Proxe T1-S, so i also saved weigh on the tire.

I think I had somewhere between 8lbs of weight saving per side, so 32lbs throughout of rotational mass reduced. I plan to do the same with my EVO

didnt someone say the SSR comps dont fit....and arent the advans better than t1-s toyos?? I think you may be able to figure a way to get the wheels to work, but maybe you should go up to the Toyo RA-1's
