The difference between the stroker and the standard engine is the stroker has a longer stroke therefore more cubic inches. Both are balanced engine and blueprinted to our specs.

Stage 3 2.3L Stroker Short Block w/ Eagle Rods: $2900 + Core
Stage 3 2.3L Stroker Short Block w/ Crower Rods: $3200 + Core

Evolution Stroker Kits:

The more expensive ones you send them the motor they instlal it send it back. The cheaper ones are all the parts they would have done but they send you them and you do the work.

One is a kit. The other is a block with the kit already installed in it.

the short blocks are the BR stage 3 blocks that replace your engine. (swap) the storker kits are just the kit installed in your current engine. is that right dave?

What size gasket would you recommend running with the stage 3 2.0? I will be purchasing one next week. Thanks.

Correct, the prices that are "kit" are all the parts for you to do the work yourself. You have to have the balancing, boring, block clearancing etc. all done on your end.

The engines are completely put together, you send your core to us, we build it and return it.

I don't understand the question on the "gasket size".

Dave, is your 2.3L bottom end really a 2.3, or is it like a 2.25, rounded up to 2.3L

Like everyone else's, it is a 2.25 liter at standard bore and then rounded up from there.

Oh i was talking in terms of a head gasket. Would it be wiser to get a head gasket thicker than stock and if so what would you recommend. Sorry about that.
Thanks

Dave,

in one of your posts you mentioned that to do a stroker motor properly the engine needs to be pulled. Can i just call ahead and have a stroker built to my liking and when its ready i can drive to your shop, have the new block put in and let you keep my stock block as a core?

If you are planning on running your stage 5 with your 35r and the stroker. Would you suggest getting the stage 3 head as well, or when/at what level is the stage 3 head come into play..
