Custom AP Stage 2 @ Cobb Tuning

I took advantage of the special at Cobb Tuning (on the day ECUFlash was released... I got like 3 calls/texts telling me that it was released).

Power Mods:
AEM Intake
UR o2 housing
UR Ceramic HFC
UR dual exhaust
Cobb boost pill modification (removal?)

Correction factor: applied (something like .94xx because it was around 45* and 85% humidity).

Compare this to the dyno I did in November. Same mods (except the pill obviously and I have a new clutch now), but I don't think the correction factor was applied. I also had a major exhaust leak(s) that might have impacted things. This dyno was also a 3rd gear pull and the ones yesterday were done in 4th.

Final thoughts
I picked up 21 hp and 37tq. I was hoping for more honestly. We ran into fuel issues. Around 5500rpm the car ran out of injector and was running 112% IDC. They pulled boost and increased timing a bit with very little change in output, but the AFR became much smoother. The tuner purposely built in the richness around redline because of how I use the car.

This is something that I think is important. I talked to the tuner and explained all my mods (since a ceramic HFC builds more backpressure than a metallic). I also talked about how I used the car. I autocross so low end power is very useful. I also take the car to the track (not dragstrip) and will run higher rpms for longer times. Because of these use scenarios, he tried to keep the AFR safe near redline to avoid detonation at the track (which I am perfectly fine with). Initial tuning efforts had the AFRs going up into the 13 range when nearing redline and that would be very bad on the track.

It looks like 4hp and 36tq, but that's just my math.

You have to compare the starting numbers on the same dyno. The two sheets I show there are two different days and two different dynos.

On Cobb's dyno I started @ 279/301. I ended up with 300/338.

That's not bad, you picked up 20 whp with just the tune basically. Keep in mind the tune probably negated the add-on affect of the intake.

Why did you opt for ceramic cat instead of a metallic?

Even the stock cat is metallic.

Honestly I think it was because it was cheaper by at least $100 and it's also theoretically quieter.

93. The marker on the dyno says "93 Octane 25psi" but really it's pulling almost 27psi (as you can see).

yeah thats something, it's actually richer during spoolup, then around 6500 it takes a dive.

Im running pretty much the same A/F. My curves don't look that pretty though. Ive got mine diving off to 11.6 afr at redline also.

the smoothing factor used does not really let you see any inticracies. But in my opinion, that is very lean for just a stage 2 at 27psi using only 93 octane, butI guess it depends on how the WB on that dyno is reading, I have no idea what the setup is over there..Do you have a cat and where did they put the wideband?? Snap a pic of one of your plugs..
