Thumbs up Cobb Plano Tuned 338whp/330wtq

I had an appointment yesterday to get me car tuned at Cobb in Plano, TX. Chris tuned my car and he did an excellent job. I took advantage of the Cobb AP sale for Evo X owners.

They have a properly calibrated Mustang Dyno and it was around 50 degrees during tuning.
Power Mods: Perrin turbo back exhaust, HKS Drop-in, T1R I/C pipes, ETS 3" FMIC, Cobb AP
Stock boost control system with restrictor pill removed tuned at around 26psi.

The car pulls like a train. It is faster then both my Evo 8 (320whp dynojet) or 9 (314whp mustang) where. The torque is impressive and it just vicouisly fast. This car is very enjoyable to drive and I imagine I won't be making any upgrades for at least a year (yeah right).

The cobb crew was very pleased with the strength of the car. They should be posting more pics on their forum in a couple days.

I like it. I like it a lot. The more and more I view the X the more "eye candy" I start eating. I think you are well on your way and to think that this early in your project you are already putting down more than both of the previous EVOs you had. I know there will be more parts available for the X in months ahead and whichever route you choose, I'm sure that you will be more than happy. I don't know if there are any GT35r-equipped X's floating around these parts of the woods and if you're not careful, you might just get a case of the "power flu". I'll stop by later on to check on the twins, mom, and take a spin if you get a spare moment. Nice numbers and I'm sure you were nothing but smiles on the way home.

Nice numbers - I'll be going there once I get my exhaust and such.

You and dcasandman have the same set of mods and put down about the same peak. Seems like just the right combination.

$700 for AP w/tune. IT was a special. Not sure if they are still offering that though.

Wow, very nice numbers. Does anyone know of a Cobb AP tuner who can actually tune this thing. The only one I found on the tuner list doesn't even have the program to tune the AP. I'm getting ready to do a Ecuflash by jestr and just put the Cobb up for sale.

Wow... I was tuned on the same dyno and I have the same peak TQ, but 30 less HP. I think the UICP and and FMIC *really* make a difference on the X.
