Talking EVO MR (almost stock) Flashed

Just got my car tuned/Flashed

Modifications:
HKS Racing Suction Reloaded, HKS EVC for Evo X
Fuel Type: RON98 (i think equivalent to 92oct)
Environment Temp: 29degC (temp whole year round, tropical country)
Evo Type: SST, Supposedly AUSDM (i have heated seats, headlight washer, etc) but tuner said the ECU was UK version
Flash Type: ECUTEK
Tuner: Ohura Shunpei (HKS Master Tuner)
Dyno Type: DynoDynamics Possum Bourne Edition (apparently reads low)

Baseline before tune: 285 HP / 291.30lb/ft @1.5bar
After Tuning: 327.9HP / 331.12lb/ft @ 1.5bar

Am quite happy with the results, all i can say is why did the EVO not come like this from factory. Tuner told me fair amount of resistance and 350hp was easily achievable with exhaust. Boost was set conservatively at 1.5 tapering to about 1.2.

Comments Pls.

looks like the tuner did not touch the mivec maps as your not spooling any sooner than stock after the tune.

Normally you are right, dyno dynamics read low. That one, on the other hand, does not. It has been calibrated to read like a dyno jet apparently, because a stock X with an intake will dyno around 230 on most dyno dynamics. Add in the boost controller, and you'll pick up a little more, but no where even close to your baselin of 285. Not trying to knock your setup or anything, but if you go over to a dyno jet thinking that you made 327 on a low reading dyno and are expecting to see 365, you're in for a rotten surprise.

Just kidding, buddy!
No, its not recalibrated. It is, however, in shootout mode, look at the screen for proof. Those numbers are an estimated crank HP, and an option in the software if you want to run it that way. Shootout mode reads a lot higher than a Dynojet. In standard mode, that 327whp would show about 255whp. Not bad for an SST.

That's flywheel tho... So i guess 285 is fair?

285 shud be round about 230WHP

^^^Unfortunately i think he is right

Most EVO X's on a low reading dyno (Mustang, Dynodynamics) that i have seen with a tune around bay area are doing about 280-290whp at the most

Shoot out mode dude, in the states we use it to get a fairly accurate crank hp number. Other area's they have a standardized setup and all try to use shootout mode to minimize correction factor usage. I think the dyno has to be certified by dynodynamics as part of the program, they don't do that here much.

Now i'm really confused...

Coz the 327hp is flywheel.. not wheel....

And lotsa people have been telling me this thing reads damm low

EDIT: Mad clarified.. And yes DynoDynamics has certified this dyno

Shootout is estimated flywheel, not wheel HP. I've got a lot of hours staring at those screens. Suffice to say, your car is fine, its making what it should. We rarely display Shootout in the US, so I was explaining to those who were confused.

Eh, the SST aren't gaining as much as a GSR from a tune.

Haha.. thanks Noize...

Well numbers are just numbers... what figure a dyno reads doesnt really matter.. Just to get a baseline and improve on it anyhows...

But the Butt Dyno is telling me that this car is crazy now... am saving for the full TB Exhaust... will post again when i get it, prolly in a couple of months
