DTM all stock Evo X tune result
Whats going on NICK its joe with the evo x. I was probably one of the first one's to buy the Dom 2 about 8 months ago, the one that had the turbo surging ( still do and mid rpm) just wondering you had A+ customer service at first and then when down to an F. I left messages and PM and never got any responce back i thought it was pretty messed up.

Mustang dyno's are more realistic as they simulate actual driving conditions by putting a load on the car. If you're tuning your car on a dynojet, it's basically like driving your car down a hill...of course its going to seem faster.

Nick is a very busy man. I feel his pain. Its bitter sweet being in demand. I am taking our X up to him tomorrow for a clutch/flywheel swap. Look forward to a great experience and a place that I can rely on in the future. There are also alot of guys in central va looking for a place to start beefing up their cars. Ill be sure to post my review, but so far he has been fair and accomodating.
I remember reading you had some surge issues with the turbo when you first installed it. Personally I would see what modifications that Blouch would recommend, be it directly to the turbo or supporting mods that would reduce the issue or eliminate it. Has anyone else had the surge you are experiencing?
I will be installing cams soon and i am hoping that gets rid of it, if not then i might either swap to a FP Red or 35r kit. The Blouch turbo is strong but the surging gets old maybe i get a defected turbo i dont know.
Ya i am still getting the surging at mid rpm at WOT. I had a shop here contact Blouch and they said a few people were getting the surging to try and put an o2 housing. So i did and its still surging and i even had the turbo uninstalled and reinstalled and tried different bov, still surging. So i just have to stay out of WOT at mid RPM's.

The O2 housing is just going to make it worse because the turbo will spool up even faster. The FP Red will probably do the same thing as it is also bigger wheels in the stock housings.
3 options: reduce any intake restrictions as much as possible and this should help, reduce the boost level so that you do not get surge, or get a turbo with a ported shroud (i.e. one of the Garrett turbos).
I'm pretty sure the Dom 2 uses the same compressor and turbine wheels as the Garrett 3076R.

Not really a particular reason other than it is a stock car. I believe the customer should enjoy the car for a bit in its initial stages and then make an informed decision on his/her mod path. At that point we can start to get a little more aggressive.
We really are not interested in numerical numbers. never have been.
Honestly, the only reason we even print out a graph for customers is so that they can see the area under the peak numbers. What they actually feel when driving the car. Not a calculated numerical figure that has become the standard for the industry today.
His gains are quite impressive when you look at the data closely. Alot of people really don't know how to read a dyno plot correctly. They draw an axis and correlate numbers to the various points., But it is much more than that....

More discussions once I finalize my test datas .. and more data tables to try later
