AMS EVO X makes 550whp :)
I have a buddy with a 35r on his X, and he's only putting down 450 and change. He definitely isn't going to be to happy. I on the other hand am very impressed and would like to say congrats!
Chris, this may be slightly off topic.
We have heard of a few guys without a tune running high boost and punching holes in their blocks.
Since AMS has some of the best experience and knowledge with these motors, what has AMS identified as the weak link in the 4b11 motor? Would it be the rod bolts?
Thanks for your time.

There are so many variables involved it is sickening to be honest.

Thats what i was just wondering.
Tune or not, you're ultimately limited by your fuel octane rating. If you go trying to push upper 20 psi range on pump gas, you'll end up with holes in the block.
93 octane, not sure what psi, and couldn't tell you the dyno. I just know that he's had so many problems from shady vendors, and people not doing what they said they would. This would probably make him very bitter. He was talking about hitting 600hp like 5 months ago, and he's been stuck at 450 since he got the kit.

Sorry ams, I am not hijacking your thread, I am just trying to educate Bighec.
There are many variables in hp numbers.
Examples that will determine a given horsepower:
1. Type of dyno used and/or correction factor
2. Type of turbo
3. How much boost
4. How much Timing
5. Octane/fuel
There are your general factors that will determine a given horsepower.
Part combination and the tuner will be the next set of factors.
There is always debate on who made this and who made that. Any wise educated person will say "take it to the track." That is where it counts.
