Tuned By Turbotrix NJ

Well I bit the bullet and got the car tuned. I was going to wait till after I got my exhaust and FMIC but ohh well ill just do a retune...

Shop:
The shop seems like they know what there doing and EVO's everywhere! I felt right at home. It was very exciting seeing my car on the dyno and finally getting some numbers! I must say the shop people seem very not interested in talking with you and keeping you updated. After the tune was done they handed me a dyno sheet and gave me a bill.... I was like ummm so whats the details? How was the tune? Whats max PSI? What's A/F? Are the injectors at there limit? Dont get me wrong they werent rude or unprofessional. Its more of a if you dont ask you wont know kinda feel.

Review:
Im pleased with the numbers. I was told that once I get a CBE my numbers on the top end will be much higher. The driving impression is SMOOTH! The car seems to idle better, the powerband is VERY smooth and consistant all the way till redline. Boost seems to start about 300-400 RPM's faster. The added torque really puts me into my seat now and the tach moves through the RPM band much faster now. Over all im pleased!

Baseline Mods:
Injen Intake, Injen UICP, SC Test Pipe

I'd like to see my question answered in the other TT thread though (https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...-thanx-tt.html) cause those gains for the mods are low for how high the numbers are.

on topic: 75/49 gains on those mods seem pretty good. so nice job tuning this one.

slightly off topic; why don't people post af/boost graphs? i'd like to see those too =)
We don't post the boost graphs because we can't log boost on our dyno. This reminds me of when Precision Dyno first came on the scene....and we all know how that turned out.

i got a feeling along time now, this Tri State area is became a ***** fest...
Every body try to put or make other people look bad these days, with no other then a selfish reason.

Why we just cant get along? This is suppose to be a community , right? And we are all in the NE, why we just cant help each other and get along?

we should focus on the guy happiness with the new tune. Not how TTX does his job.
He made his comment on it ,and i'm sure he got his own conclusion about it.

Cheers Rob

ps:
Good numbers buddy, enjoy your car.

Rob-

Wonderful post.
Off topic stuff removed.
Vendors would do well to stay out of each other's threads if they want to be able to keep making their own.

Two questions:

Why don't you log boost when you tune a car? Do you rely on a gauge? If so, gauges are inaccurate by about 1-2 psi too high or too low depending on the gauge.

What is the cause of these spikes in the torque curve? They do not happen in the hp curve, so it could not be dyno induced, or could it?

These were answered, but part of the flaming from another vendor caused everything to be erased.

Their dyno setup does not log boost.
The jaggies in the torque curve are due to the dyno.

They are replacing a "tach" next week. Not sure what that means but I'll be getting re dynoed next week to see if that fixes the torque wiggles.

Were also going to check some things and make some adjustments. New dyno next week!
