Another X stock tune!

So I finally tuned my evo yesterday and I'm very impressed with the response after the tune, and idle seems to have improved as well. I'd like to thank Brian at GST motorsports for his awesome work. Just to add I do have a cosworth filter installed.

My god these pictures I took look horrible well here it goes:

Dyno: Mustang Dyno
HP: 285WHP
TQ: 292
@ 24.3 psi's

Very nice. We are lucky to have such great tuners in CA. How does the car feel?

Feels great. Responds better, idles better, you can feel that extra power, and as an extra it helped out gas milege a bit as well! =)

Congrats! Gains looks impressive for stock X. I can't wait to get mine done. Wish I live closeby so it's easier for me to convince the wife... how long did the tune take?

It took a lil more than an hour, but they had also installed the boost pill for me as well in that time. Make the trip down GST does some quality work. My X feels like a whole new vehicle! The numbers would have been a little higher if on a different dyno. Im not sure, but I think their mustang dyno reads a little lower than others...

Do you have to be very picky now on what gas station to fill up? I heard that when an evo is tuned to its potential, it is recommended to pump gas from "better" brands like 76 or Chevron.

It's always better when you have a vehicle of this type to get good quality gasoline(76, chevron, shell will do) in general, and upon running more power to your veihicle it is a smarter choice to try to stick even more to quality gasoline. It wont kill you if you got a lower grade gasoline(if you have no other options), but try to stay away from boost as much as possible. I've used 76 every fill but 2 had to go with shell =(

Call gst for a price quote. Very reasonable price, especially when the boost pill comes installed for free when you pay for your sock tune!

If you take the stock pill out you need to replace it with either a manual boost controller, the boost pill, or another option out there. Im sure you cant just uninstall your stock pill. You can either install the pill before your tune(I'm sure most tuners will do this for you), and this is recomended. If you do it yourself without a tune, then don't boost as it's pretty important to tune for this mod.

Doesn't Cobb instruct people to take out the pill for their stage 2?
