Today we had BJ and Jamar here at DG Motor's for some tuning. Both cars have identical mods with different brands and made within 5whp of each other.

First up is BJ's Evo X GSR.

Mod List:

- Greddy Tic Catback

- Ams Test Pipe

- Ams Upper IC Pipe

- Turbo Trix Intake

- Exedy Stage 2 Clutch

Here are the results:



Gains:

+40whp/70wtq @ 4,000rpm

+80whp/80wtq @ 5,252rpm

+110whp/80wtq @ 6,750rpm



Very safe and strong running car. Car made smooth linear power to 7,000rpm.

Up next we have Jamar's evo x gsr. We just finished installing an exedy twin HD clutch, Buschur Intake, and Buschur Upper IC Pipe.

- Buschur Catback

- Buschur Intake

- Buschur Upper IC Pipe

-Nrg Tech Test Pipe

-Exedy Twin HD Clutch

Here are the results:



Gains:

+60whp/80wtq @ 4,000rpm

+100whp/100wtq @ 5,252rpm

+110whp/80wtq @ 6,800rpm



Overall these cars made pretty much identical power with the same mods and different brands.

these were both sick cars...both had great qualities. I loved the white with the single tip and the buschar exhaust on the red was just as good. Great gains guys.

Also after seeing what great customer service DG offers made me a believer again in shops that actually care about the customer. You guys did a great job with not just my car but with Lukes car and Jamar's car. I suggest anyone within the area of this shop just stop down and actually see how great they really are. You my friends will not be disappointed. Great job Pete.

 

1.5 psi and a little more timing goes along way! Those power curves are completely different beasts. How close would this have been if they were tuned the same? OP do you feel that car A would have significantly more power if tuned the same as car B?

It was a great day and my car pulls REALLY nicely now! Thanks again to Pete & Charlie, who went to work on my car with the minimal bolt-ons I have. We did encounter a 08 wrx 4 door on the way home, who asked me "What the hell do you have in there bro". I laughed and told him to hit up DGmotors. Here's a pic of the master minds at work:
