The good news is that it on the street all should be fine and will likely be faster than what the dyno is reporting gains wise over the stock turbo.

What kind of baselines does that dyno normally have for Evo X's? Definitely report back when you get Meth in there to allow higher boost on the FP Red, and likely the lower torque is a good combo for the MR SST setup anyways, as long as it holds good torque right to redline. I bet a moderate launch on a drag strip somewhere would reveal some nice trap speed gains so if the dyno won't behave then just test it at the track.
225-235 for a sst on his dyno.

+1 on real world strip numbers. I will let you know when I go next week.

Once this phantom issue is fixed watch out lol.
If it is indeed true that the TCU is limiting the power, then it is doing so for a reason, ie, to preserve the tranny.

So If you remove that "limiter," then you will have to watchout for broken SST trannies and $9000 repair bills.

The MR is not meant to be modded like this. All that can be done is to limit the boost taper while keeping peak boost the same, lean out the AFR, and retard the timing.

If you wanted to mod the Evo X with big turbo and cams, then you should have bought the GSR.

Very good numbers. But it seems that the TCU is smarter than we thought.

sean tuned my MR and my max hp was 330 and touque 316.
Last week at the track I kept gettin the slow down warning from my tranny
I also plan on eventually upping my turbo but without a bigger oil cooler at the least
I wouldnt dare take that care on the track for a long session of hard driving.
Good luck. Im very curious to find out more about how the tcu limits power and
what is needed after proper tranny cooling and clutch pacs are added. Only time will
tell

Right, it is doing that to protect itsself. I have upgrades planned to the internals of this transmission, such as gears, and clutches which are own the way. Those Limiters are in place for the normal Joe who lightly mods his car. The transmission is not 9k it is about 8 for the normal consumer with dealer cost costing less.

I did not want the gsr, if I was obsessed with crazy numbers I would have gotten a barebones gsr ,and modded the **** out of it.

This is the process of how everything goes with new tech. You have to pay to play.

Very nice power. What mods did you have at the time. Those number seem very close to my stock turbo numbers I had in April.

You most def need some kind of transmission cooling. I have had the ssp kit since may and I have had no issues at all. I have driven cross country and at the drag strip for about 8 passes.

Its very sensitive and probably kicked in not enabling the torque to rise to early. Even in off position it still kicks in. it must be held down for 3 seconds to completely be disabled. This is just an idea, I'm not knowledgeable in this.
