+1

Congrats on these results.

Also, I really don't see how the fuel pump could be maxed at this HP. People have taken them much higher than that stock AFAIK.

I'm tuned by him with all bolt-ons, stock turbo, stock fuel, stock EBCS (i had the Perrin but issues arose) and i'm making 330/360 (previous tune was 340/330 but weather conditions, different days, etc. could alter the results) so that's pretty disappointing considering the turbo is that much bigger.

pathetic.....is it worth going bigger? Why not just stick with stocker and have that torque ughhh im so confused wether to go big or just do cams meth with stocker...this is my dyno on a dyno dynamics...this is just a Turbo back exhaust stock 02 with a k&n cone filter and a aem tru boost controller. My car for some reason dynos better than alot of other x's maybe it was the break in period. Here is the graph.

The FP Red on the X needs to run a lot higher boost to really do its job. Everyone has been making 'low' numbers on pump gas because the housings on the X are so much smaller than on the VIII's and IX's. Just going step by step to see what everything gives me. No need to talk down to it. Thanks for the feeedback though.

Maybee someday all the "my buddy made more power than you with fewer mods" people will understand that you cannot bench race with numbers from different dyno's and even varying weather conditions on the same dyno.....

To the OP, you have probably got at least 20 - 30whp hiding in the exhaust right now if not more. Just going to a full 3" setup with testpipe and single exit muffler should un cork a good bit of power.

And 40whp from swapping out the turbo is not bad at all considering your probably running about the same boost as you were on the stock turbo. Red's really seam to wake up once you get past 25 26 psi.

And, yeah, that stock clutch won't last long at all now

Mind you I'm on the FP Red (big turbo) with stock o2 housing/stock downpipe/stock cat (stock o2 housing = death sentence for big turbo)...just taking it step by step to see what does what. No need to panic that the FP red is only at this power level at this point Downpipe+cat delete+meth coming soon

I guess so maybe 30psi and up. I spoke to fp and they said they can make the 80mm upgrade for the evo x red...if so I might do that and get the porting option. Thing is if I go with a big turbo I don't want to rely on meth all time rather do it on just plain old pump to make power.....

The X turbo housings don't work well w/ the FP Red on pump gas. Period. You need to ultimately run 28psi + to avoid the surge/chopping issue that a lot of people are having. The stock turbo frame in the X is just too small vs what Mitsu had built in the VIII and IX. Running a good Aquamist kit isn't the worse thing in the world. Plus it will keep your motor clean and intake temps down. Worse thins to have to 'rely' on

Damn! Did they say when it will be available? Hopefully they will take back the stock compressor housing for a discount in price.

I agree. Im at 337/321 by him and I was tlking to Sam(along with others) about the FP red install but Im hearing that the red is a dissappointment on the X. Think Ill wait for more options but my goal is 400 whp on pump gas to. Looking to do methane and cams and lower intercooler on stock turbo. unless more options arise. As long as your happy with your car, hell thats all that matters.
