Honestly, I dont have that much experience in me. The last thing I would want to do is make alittle accident and then have a very expensive paperweight sitting on my computer desk (you break, you buy LOL)...

Im still trying hard, gas is expensive so I haven't been going at it lately like I used to. Once Im done with my car, Im probably going to devote almost all of my time (after work and the gym) to welding. Being a fabricator is probably one of the BEST things when building a car. Save's you TONS of money and you can do it YOUR way!

LOL!!! Once I pick it up to where I think Im ready, Im going to test some things on my car, this way I dont run into issues with other people. Once I feel comfortable enough, I may do what Fathouse does (member here on Evom, just check the Fabrication & Welding section), and fab up custom manifolds, intakes, intercooler piping, etc. for customer's and friends.

You are damn right about the cost savings. It's a great trade to learn, good luck and give me that proposal when you think you can start! We could use a good bung hole installer for aem wide bands

LOL, typical class act Gimmy! LOL

Definitely will do Pete! Im even thinking about taking a class at Boces just to get some extra food for thought and experience under my belt. Plus they dont only teach you about mig and tig, along with amperage, gauge, volts, heat, puddles, etc. But they also give you a pretty big section of Metallurgy, the breakdown / characteristics / properties of all different types of metal's and what not, which is great to know especially if I plan to do other type's of welding besides just mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum!

It would be an honor to be your official welder / lead fabricator, and honestly, (IMO), would be a GIANT boost for your shop! Think of all the R&D we could do for the community, using the dyno for comparisons, along with being able to put DG motors farther out! Think about it Pete! DG Motors exhausts, intakes, IC kits, Turbo Kits...... Uh ohhhhh!!!

Anything is possible. If this is the field of work you are looking to get into then do it. Fabricating is holding us back. We have the know-how but have been using another shop for our fabrication on certain things. Let's get this going and when your ready we will already be expanded into section B of our business which is another 4,000 square ft. We already need another 3-4 lifts.
