Honestly it's one of the best mods I have purchased in awhile....for 760 shipped you get a cb,tp,dp, you really can't go wrong! The exhaust is quiet during cruising and a nice deer growl at wot...here are some pics all I got...

Solid proof of an affordable exhaust that makes great power when tuned properly.

Nice numbers.

But, what did the EBC do that the stock selonoids could not do? I get 27psi in 4th by 3300rpm and it holds 26psi to 5000rpm, 24.5 at 6000rpm, and 20psi at 7000rpm. I do have the GST boost pill however. But, it seems to taper less than your EBC.

But, your numbers again are looking pretty good.

Very nice Gimmy! (lol I love that name!)

Your car is a gift from the Mitsu factory in itself! That car LOVES timing and boost, which you are VERY lucky to have! Your next set of mods SHOULD be a FMIC kit, possibly a new 02 housing/dp, then do some meth and cams! Whatever you do, don't do meth without cams! Its not worth it IMO, and the gains with Cams up-top alone is where you really feel the power and the pull! But your car really is a Factory Freak, especially when I drove it. I was rather impressed, considering the lack of mods you have! Well that and "Master Pete" did tune your car! LOL

Honestly, Pete has become a VERY competent tuner over the passed couple of months, and I trusted him tuning my car even back a year and a half ago when he did the meth on my car! Tune was VERY smooth and crisp! I can tell you that I have DEFINITELY seen DG Motors evolve from a everyday ASE certified shop for regular tune ups, brakes, inspections, to full blown Evo, DSM, Subi(rofl... I remember Pete), hell pretty much anything you bring to them Specialists, who take GREAT care of you, your car, and tailor to YOUR needs! Im telling you, DG Motors has got my business for life! Regardless of whatever happens! Pete is mad cool, along with his Dad Pete Sr., and everyone else at the shop. Always a pleasure and an honor to hang out with them on late nights, bull****ting and talking. I really do owe Pete and his father a night of beers on the house, for all that they have done for me and the community! (Dont want to come off as a softee)

I can't wait to finally have my car ready to hit the DG Heartshattering dyno and let either Pete or Charlie work their magic! Realtime of course! Give them a break from Evo's and stock ECU's! haha

Best of all, I can't wait to get more knowledge and experience with welding and possibly in the future, work for DG Motors or atleast affiliate with them! For know, Ill just be a supporter, rocking DG Motors stickers and license plate frames on ALL of my cars! (GSX, Saturn, Fathers Mercedes, Fathers Jeep, My work van, EVERY single one!)

I can go ON and ON about DG Motors. Simply, in the NY area, THEY ARE THE BEST!!!! and thats it! Period!

LOL. Not sure how to take this. But boost is not the issue when it comes to FMICs. You can run 21psi and need a FMIC, because when you start the modding process, all you do is create MUCH MORE heat with your turbo and engine. More air + more fuel = higher heat. Best remedy? Better flowing/cooling FMIC. I actually recommend it as one of the beginning mods after a TBE and intake.

He didn't really do it just for the boost control on the interior, he really likes the look of the AEM boost gauge. I drove it and it is a very nice boost gauge indeed! BTW, on the gauge, you can adjust the preload on it so he could set it up to hold boost longer up top, but he left it set as it came. So it has great response, but still holds boost very well! IMO, you can't ever beat a Manual like a Hallman, but thats me. I do envy the look of the 2 AEM gauges right next to eachother! Wideband and Boost... mmmmmmmm!

I am not saying you shouldn't upgrade the FMIC, but from most of what I have seen from the Evo 8/9's you would see minimal gains going bigger with the stock turbo. It wasn't until you upgraded the turbo that you could tell there was a front mount being put to use.

I was simply stating that by running 31 psi, you are obviously pushing a lot more air through, therefore you create more heat as you stated, so you should in theory need a better FMIC.

I agree with you I think it's smart but I am not so sure the gains are worth it I guess.

Yeah, but around our way, we drive ALOT on the street. So after 1 pull, the car is already starting to heatsoak with the stock FMIC. Its not all about horsepower, its about efficiency. Run both cars, same mods, 1 with a FMIC and 1 that has a stock 1, run them back to back, gaurentee the one with the FMIC will take it up-top, because after the first gear and driving around for so long, it will start to heatsoak.

Thats understandable. The matching gauges probably look great. I just don't like people knocking the stock selonoids when mine are working perfect with the GST boost pill. Actually, I did some logs just about an hour ago and i'm getting 27psi by 3000rpm in 4th. 20psi by 2750, just for reference. His setup is obviously working though. It shows with his numbers.
