What you both FAIL to realize, is the guy has just an Air filter and a TBE, he isn't a full bolt-on car that is on the fence now about wether or not he should do the cams or the red. IMO, either turbo upgrade will work 10x better with cams over the stockers. Thats just my opinion. I had AMAZING results with the stock turbo and cams. Like I said, I took out a red powered car and held him off, he wasn't gaining on me uptop or anything. Sad part is, this was at 28psi, he was at 26.... Red holds boost up top, we all know the stocker doesn't, so I guess my cams were doing well at helping me with airflow up top.

Plus, no one said your numbers were crap. I said im sorry you had crappy results with your cams. Hell, Ive seen someone do a 35r at 27psi and had horrible results with it. That was with stock cams, IMO anything bigger than a green is a MUST with cams, need to flow as much as possible with a bigger turbo.

Jimmy, good luck with the car! Any route you go with will be good, to me, there isn't one is better than the other when it comes to the red or cams, because to me, both need eachother lol.

I really don't want to keep talking about this, but this is still a good topic of discussion for people looking to upgrade their Evo's.

From your list of cars I assume you are talking your Evo 9 as reacting well to cams since I don't see a 10 over there?

If that is the case, yes, 9's did make power with cams on stock turbos, I never said anything about that, their turbo's were bigger, not arguments there. The 10 turbo is smaller and when you are running E-85 it's out, the top end will be topped out from the E-85 already so cams will only help midrange power, which is nice too.

All my cars reacted well with cams. Don't need a X to prove it either. Masses of X owners already proved that Cams is infact a great mod. Regardless of turbo size.
