I tried telling people when I posted my results, that you can only push so much out of the tiny stock turbo. Much more than 350whp on a 1.0DD isn't going to happen with these turbos.

The torque can go up as you can see but hp will stay low, no more air to be pushed and it is hot already.

Can you prove an EBCS will hold more boost and make more power than an MBC?

A 3 port will typically make essentially the same power as a MBC.

He is comparing the stock solenoid to a 3 port, where there are gains to be had.

A MBC fails though and is old technology (however proven to work well tech), you lose all fail safes for overboosting etc etc.

A 3 port is the same price as a nice MBC anyway, you just have to have a tune for it.

No. This car has a Hallman MBC. I know how it all works, but thanks for the explanation. There are so many comments that are tossed around ambiguously on this forum. Often times, people don't even know what they're talking about but they, "heard it from someone". Say whatever you want about an MBC...it works, will continue to work and always has.

Like i said it works fine, doubtful that a 3 port works any better, but you lose all the benefits of EBC with the MBC and the 3 port allows you to keep all the benefits and hold boost like a MBC, possibly even more.

As I said twice, MBC works great, but it removes the car's ability to control boost when a problem happens and therefore all the safety features go out the window.

Why did this car on E85 make less hp than your shop car on 93 octane?

Our shop car does not run a stock turbo.

Our shop car is currently running a blouch dominator 2.0

If memory serves me correct, you tuned a stock turbo X on 93 octane to 366whp and 425 torque on your dyno. No?

Yes, on this same car at a very unsafe 32psi 93 Octane street map....The mapping did not stay on the car for too long
