Good job guys, that's a lotta torque!

I bet if feels good

Sounds like more top end is desired though, i know that feeling. Hopefully the track goes well, or went well if you made it yesterday.

dyno graphs!

Here is the last tuning session we had on E-85 for the stock turbo.

This is 30 psi VS 33.5 psi:

I focused on some mivec tweaking during spool up and look at how damn hard that torque ramps up even though we lost a little spool compared to the old graph!

This is it for the stock turbo and where I honestly feel comfortable. The new turbo is going on soon...stay tuned!

This car feels absolutely crazy for the stock turbo right now. It is really enjoyable. Top-end is always desired and that is what we are hoping to achieve with this new custom 60lb/min turbo we are going to be trying out.

Screw loss in spool, honestly my car spools too fast. I don't know why people are obsessed with spool (unless you are talking 6k spool up time, lol), it is a small period to wait anyway, usually even with a "laggy" turbo.

I would trade that spool on this setup for that increase in torque

I am sure this car is very similar in the fact that you step on the gas and bam 20psi+ with no effort. My midrange is too much, need some lag to improve my 13mpg's, lol.

Interesting on the mivec settings though, so was most/all the torque gain through mivec? I guess a few more psi helps out quite a bit, but seems like a lot more torque for that.

Ps. That poor poor turbo, so much hot air.

Yes, Timing at peak torque will help. I was afraid of losing some torque since I had to reduce some timing during spool up and peak so I focused more in mivec which seems to work out pretty well and really ramp this car up. I did it more for Sh*ts and giggles because this car's power band is focused after 5,000rpm..This car will never see that kind of torque unless it is from a rolling start. It was real nice to make 450wtq on a stocker...It feels incredible and blows the tires off on dry pavement with ease...

Not difficult to tune at all. The only problem is you can hit mbt with this fuel where you could run into trouble if your not experienced enough to know what to look for.
