Like I said before cams will help the midrange but won't do anything up top with the stock turbo.

I think you guys have magic 93 out there because you guys seem to be able to run some serious boost/timing on your 93 compared to MN 93. (My tuner has even commented on this, he said its always been that way)

Regardless, solid gains but basically exactly what I figured. And like the OP said he only gained like 10whp up top, honestly no one would probably want to pay (even 500ish or possibly a better deal on these ones since MAP prolly hooked him up) all this with install to make 10whp.

Cams on a stock turbo are purely for midrange and as DG said the blah blah blah, that is a great sound

Ivey Tune. They have done all of the work and tuning on my car.

Oh and also, the OP has more mods then me minus E-85, he has a forge WGA and downpipe over me, both proven to make power and I am making the same torque/more power. So I don't think this car is a freak of nature, i think it is just tuned well

And we are both limited by the stock turbo, both of ours are "out of breathe", mine just blows more hot air on the stock IC.

Downpipe doesnt do anything on our cars....it's just a regular megan dp for like 100 bucks stock 02 housing...I also have a cone filter for an intake hahah. I'm on the stock fmic also. Your on 31psi I'm on 26 wga only holds 19 anyway nothing to brag about. You have a 3 port should help you hold boost anyway. What does your boost drop to?

My boost drops lower than 19 i can tell you that, but not by much.

Point is neither of us can make any more power because the stock turbo!

The 31 psi is only going to give me more meat under the curve, it drops like a rock at the end though, just like everyone with a stock tiny turbo.

Well then you don't truly have a TBE

I am not trying to pick a fight, this other guy just seems to think cams are amazing on the stock turbo, when he doesn't even have an X.

You have great gains, but I would also like to see a boost plot, DG said 28/29 and that you were hitting 34 on the dyno? When you say 26 is that what you see on the streeet? Because I don't see much more than 27 usually on the street unless I am in 4th gear lower rpm. I am thinking you are referring to your boost gauge, i bet your dyno plot shows higher psi, why would DG make that up? Not hard to remember from a few days ago either. Also cams lower boost due to increased engine flow, so if you are at the "same boost" you are actually running more to maintain the same boost as before since your engine is more efficient.

I'm goign according to what my tuner charlie told me he said you made this power 1 pound less then last dyno which was 27psi....we did one pull that was a guesstimate of 32 say because my gauge didnt go up to that. Car wasnt safe due to some knock obviously. No need to lie my car runs on the street and wouldn't mind running anyone who thinks different Murlo we get your point no 10hp isnt crazy but I as the owner feel my car is night and day up top! Car pulls so much harder and yes it was worth the install because cams are always needed in the equation No miracle gas here just some good fine tunning! I take it your saying your car is not tuned well? That run I did was like on the very last pull car is hot as hell by then new fmic on order.....stock turbo is good for the street once u add meth or e85..I know people with fp reds that arent even happy saying stock turbo pulled better I dunno maybe they lying

He is running 27/28 psi when we tuned him on our dyno. That is in 4th gear with an acceptable load value we use on our dyno to simulate a street tuned pull. I am sure he will spike slightly more like 29/30ish psi on a cold winter night in 4th gear on the street.

The 26psi jimmy is seeing is most likely 1st/2nd/3rd after a rolling start from 1st gear.

Jimmy is excited his car has got the power and sound he has been looking for
