Yup, it's a piggy back system. When we first started modding the X, the openecu stuff was very buggy, so we hooked up the AEM to it. The Stock computer still controls the drive by wire, etc. But we are able to change the Fuel, Timing, Etc on the AEM. It's like an advanced FIC.
