FP GREEN, Pump Gas, all bolt ons, IVEY TUNE
FP GREEN, Pump Gas, all bolt ons, IVEY TUNE
Recently I planned out a turbo swap and bought all the parts. I went with
Port and Polished FP Green
Port and Polished and Ceramic Coated stock exhaust mani
DW 850cc Injectors
Blouch 20 PSI actuator
I already had
Grimm Speed 3 port
K&N Intake
ETS 4.0" Intercooler
ETS UICP + LICP
AMS Wide Mouth Downpipe
T1R Resonated Test Pipe
Perrin Cat Back Exhaust
Needless to say I am very happy. The car feels like a rocket ship, and will definately take some getting used too.
I did get tuned before with all the mods above minus the new stuff and I made 309 WHP at CBRD. I will include that graph for reference.

I decided to go to Ivey Tune this time, and overall the experience was good. Definately happy with my new found power, and am impressed considering I was able to make this power on the STOCK FUEL PUMP. Sean said he saw no fuel delivery issues, and said I should be fine, but said upgrading the fuel pump isnt a bad idea, and said I could do that anywhere at anytime and it wouldnt change my tune much, so its safe to just drop in, and I may do that at some point.
Anyway, here is my chart

my X

Just to comment on drivability, it seems very much unchanged. I had to drive 100 miles to get to Iveytune, so I drove 100 miles home on my new setup. I was cruising the majority of the time (when I wasnt stuck in traffic (overtuned truck)) and was doing about 70-80MPH with the A/C on and cruise control. It drove just like it did going up, and while stuck in traffic felt very much the same as before the turbo swap.
There is more of a delay now with building boost. I now know the meaning of lag. I dont think the stock X really has lag, as when I punched it, it moved. Now with the green, there is a delay between the punching and the moving. Its not bad, but is noticable.
I used to be able to floor it and let off the gas and blow off really quickly, to the point where i could PSHHHH PSHHHHH PSSHHHHHHH really quickly multiple times in a row. Now, i have to hold the gas down, and its not quite as easy to do it on command.
Oh on the ride there I made 24.1 MPG according to the trip computer, and on the ride home, I made 23.7 MPG, and that included a lot of sitting in traffic.
I think its tuned to 27 PSI.

The port and polish on his mani and turbo may be adding that bit of extra power to the car, so keep that in mind if you just buy a 3 port, some injectors and expect over 400 whp because you may not get it.
Thanks all, yea I made exactly the HP i wanted. Like if I hit 399 or less, I would have been forced to mod further lol, cause I wanted a 400+ HP car. Now that I have it, I am happy and will just enjoy my evo for what it is. My modding itch has been scratched for now, and I think I will stay where I am at now.
