Only about 1k.... over 5 months.

Mike W. told me that he has baselined several stock Evo X's on his Dynapack, and they all come in around 240HP on average.

Now my first run without a tune came in at 257HP. Which shows that my mods may have already been doing their thing as bolt-ons to get the car breathing better.
  • UICP
  • Turbo Inlet Pipe
  • Panel Filter
  • MF Catback

So with bolt-ons and no tune the car was almost 260HP and still running pig-rich according to the AFR readout.

Mike W. smoothed out, and leaned out the AFR and optimized the tables for my bolt-ons, which then got the car up to 300+HP consistently on every pull.

Sooooo financially speaking..

All of those bolt-ons got me about 15HP for $800
That tune got me about 40HP and TQ, safe AFR and boost levels, and maybe even better MPG (if I can keep my foot out of it) for about half that $$

I beg to differ. I only have a K&N drop in filter and an RRE tune and I got 316whp and 336lbtq on my GSR!! 50+ whp and 72+ lbtq. Gotta love RRE

Tune 30+ SST equipped mitsus with access to the proper tables and you will have a different perspective.

So are you saying that Mike at RRE doesn't know how to tune SST's ? Gimme a break !! You tuned 30+ SST's and Mike probably tuned the remaining 90+ SST's here in SoCal.

No I'm not saying that at all. Mike and I go back over 15+ years knowing each other and are friends.

My statement was not chest thumping.

Put a dp and a hi flow cat and you'll easily make 340-ish whp.

Thats about the same output I had with the stock cat on. As soon as I removed that restriction it was party time.

So you are running cat-less around LA? Be careful dude.

Do you happen to know if a DP is a no-no?
