i have my own comparision mustang vs dyno jet.
this thing dont let me sleep good back then'
.
so what i did . i did go to a dyno jet tune , then a next weekend i did a dyno day run on mustang.
and the numbesr was very very close. same tank of gas and almost same temperature also weather conditions.
basically nothing changed , but the date

My numbers are damn close .... I mean damn close.
SO i guess deppend on , how they set up the dyno more, then which one u using.

Rob

You can find my post about that in this forum with all the pictures etc.

Here's another comparison between a Superflow, Dynapak and Dynojet all done in the same day:

Ok, thanks for posting the actual numbers. So 6% is "damn close" to you?

Again, please don't ever work in analytics, precision manufacturing or work on any aircraft that I might be flying in.

what are you actually arguing about or what are you try to say here?

Im so sorry if the "6%" or the "damn close" bothers you that much, if knew i wouldn't put it up there... LOL

Too bad i actually did the dyno test around me. Instead the dyno tests , i have to focus to learn not using 6-10% or not using a "damn close", so you will not be offended . Which probably would be a much more beneficial for the guys who are not tuners or shops owners , then an actual test from an independent guy /own money time etc./ on the dyno's.
Next time i will pay attention on it. Mean while any other things you want to say or share with us about the dyno subject? Like your analysis or dyno test you been done ?

Im looking forward to see a very precised explanation and documents from you.

Cheers Rob

ps: it was a nice chat with you, i did learned a lot. Means a lot to me.

This is actually a good comparison. The MD and DJ numbers would have been quite a bit different if you were comparing the SAE Corrected numbers(DJ) to the MD numbers. Should the DJ graph be output in SAE CF, you would have, in all probability, seen a larger difference. Keep in mind the Trace Graph View(MD) as seen here reflects some filter or 'smoothing' and displays the 'corrected number'(this is what we all post as MD owners). We do not know what the correction factor was that was calculated before this graph was output.. if there was one at all.

Lowkey asked how roller weight would effect numbers. This is not related to strapping the car down with more force, rather the MD uses a value in the Dyno Calibration screen called Roller Weight. This value is set from MD for your particular dyno. Should you raise this number, it will artificially raise the entire curve. MD uses this vale to calculate the final output...this is a singular value used in conjunction with other set up values....too involved to go into in a post.

Hope this clarifies things a bit.

Do some homework / search before you try to be snide. I've posted a ton of threads on the subject of dynos over the years.

This is why I said "thanks for posting the actual numbers" because the data doesn't lie, it says 6%, when you said "damn close". Half the time I can't even understand what you are saying.
