My 93 Green (More power than pump Reds and Blacks... say what?)

Let me start off by saying, I'm extremely happy with how my car has turned out. Mitch did a great job at AMS tuning it today. My power mods are as follows:

AMS LICP, UICP, Intercooler, Downpipe, Intake, Fuel Rail
Akrapovic downpipe back exhaust
ID 1000 cc injectors
Kelford 214-B cams and valve springs
Full-race manifold
FP Green ported and 18 psi wastegate
The internals are upgraded, since I didn't want to take any chances.
2010 GSR on 93 399 whp, 340 ft-lbs @ 26 psi on AMS's Mustang Dyno

First off here's my chart:

And an overlay with a Red and black. Kinda hard to read, but my scanner isn't the best.
1) Is me! (Red) 396 whp, 345 ft-lbs
2) FP Red (Green) 390, 317
3) FP Black (Blue) 406, 339

Everyone at AMS was shocked at how much power I was making on a Green. The Green starts running out of steam at the top end, and is over taken by the Black around 7500 rpm. I still have more torque then both of them though!

And here's a video so everyone can hear how amazing (IMO) the akrapovic exhaust sounds on the dyno. The camera doesn't do it justice though.

From my understanding, they were similiar except for the exhaust manifold. They'd be needing more fuel probably though

Black is stock block as well as the red.

I still dont get it. I tune a lot of Evo X's and I just cannot believe how much power this car made. Solid combo for sure.

It's all in the combo and exhaust manifolds are worth a ton on stock frame turbos.

I just got off the dyno and made the same power at 33.5psi as I did at 38.5psi with my stock ported manifold and more torque at that same 5 less psi.

I am not saying your car isn't strong...but the green is a better pump gas turbo then a red or black...the red and black are and always have been race gas turbos that need more boost to overcome to exhaust backpressure.

Regardless...awesome numbers.

That's impressive and believable for sure with the right parts.

I've had a CBRD BBX hit 391 on 91 octane on the GST Mustang so I believe this 100%.

Nice work Mitch.

Yeah well I spoke to soon yesterday. I did a BBX last night and once again, stunned. These turbos really work great with a solid combo of parts. I will put that sheet up later. Green and BBX are fantastic turbos for pump gas Evo X's.

Thanks for the kind words Bryan!

Mitch-

this is why I always recommend the specific turbos for each persons needs not just the biggest, highest hp, or faster 1/4 mile turbos on the market!

The right combination will do its thing every time!

Im glad people see that even the smaller of the stock housing turbos do their thing

congrats to the owner on his FP power- and im glad you like the BBX!

cheers
