Haha I'm sure STi feels much faster with those ups and downs in torque since it would jerk you around and man-handle you :P

The STI's acceleration looks exciting, you never know what you're going to get

here is my 2011 with Cosworth drop in, testpipe, and T1R catback (blue line is pretune, red is after), peak number pretune are 318whp/328wtq @ 26 psi. however, its not all about numbers, after the tune the throttle response got much much better, and the car even free revved faster

edit:
also have Spec Stage 2+ clutch and ACT StreetLite flywheel

What are the details on the "cobb stage 1" ? Does this raise the boost at all? And other parts or just a tune?

Don't let the folks over on NASIOC know about this, they won't be a happy camper. :-)

I can tell by looking at are under the curve it seems like your torque curve moved to left and wider..

question is : what kind of EM you were running before the custom tune?

and what type of dyno is that? it seems like it reads little high since many people have to invest a FMIC and some other goodies to achieve this power levels...

Thanks in advance

Are these the same numbers you get with OTS Stage 1 for a 2010? Seems really high for an off the shelf 2010 stage 1 map. I can definitely feel a difference between stock 2010 and stage 1 though, but if 2010s hit 250whp~ish then this would mean a 40hp increase with an OTS map. Torque would be higher gain than 18wtq too.

All years Stage 1 OTS maps should yield about the same final results, each year the factory tune gets better so the gains are smaller to get to the same end result.

I wouldn't say the tq curve moved, it just got bigger... everywhere...

whats EM? if you mean tune, then its the stock tune, only the mods I listed above

its a dynojet, it reads typical for a dynojet. here's a 2011 MR on the same dyno, stock and stock+tune. stock numbers are actually a bit lower than some other 2011's have tested. my evo put down 268 bone stock on a different dynojet

All previous year EVOs had about 24PSI target for Stage 1, but '11 Stage 1 OTS map from Cobb has 26/27 PSI target. I can understand all until '10 made the same power, but how come '11 make the same as well while pushing 2-3 more PSI?

it's very interesting or we might add..

why do we need the additional boost to achieve same power goals on 11s? if the gains are identical
