In the beginning my DV (same one you have) was fluttering insanely, so much that my car would bog. I was recommended to change the spring for a stronger one. I went ahead and did that. The flutter continues, but much lighter, not even enough to affect the drivability of the car. Now, my afr is also going everywhere, and sometimes it reads that is so rich that the number won't even show up it just shows two lines and the gauge all the way to the right. Some times at cruising speeds the afr goes all the way to the red and my car kinda bogs out for a short second and again goes back to normal. I believe we might be having the same problem, and we have about the same mods and same power. Again let me know how it turns out after the tuner gets it checked.

Ams intercooler
Ams full turbo back
Ams cmc ring
Cobb intercooler piping hot/cold
Kelford cams spec-b and springs
Garret gt3071r turbo
Walbro fuel pump
Aem intake
Aem tru boost
Aem AFR
Synapse dv

At the time of the tune my car didn't have the DV so the stock one held us at 21 pounds. We did 425hp 395tq on mustang dyno. 93 oct and full power is in at 4,800rpms at about 95 degrees outside.
My DV did the flutter thing also but only on my old stock turbo setup. After tune and new turbo it doesnt do it anymore. I didnt get a re-tune yet as I am in the middle of troubleshooting this problem. Im gonna put back my stock injectors and see if that eliminates the problem, if so then maybe my injectors could be the problem?? I already checked for air/exhuast leaks, and my O2 seems fine with no indication of wear & tear on the wire.

HA i was wondering how he was figuring out where full boost kicked in.

Shaded lines - Stock turbo/bolt-ons
Solid lines - MAP EF3/etc.

I had everything checked as well, the only thing with my engine light is that it's not always on. Some times it will stay on for two days other times it won't even turn on for a week so I'm not sure if it's just ecu confusion but it defenetly is annoying because once it enriches the car holds back with a light bog. Once December is over I will get some parts installed and retuning hopefully it will fix. I will let you know if I find a problem or more importantly a solution.

Wait, did I just log onto the Prius forum by accident?

Fuel mileage is determined by your right foot, not the turbo.

Tuning will not affect closed loop operation since the ECU fuel trims always targets 14.7. A tune may lean out open loop operation, but you'll also probably be running more boost which increases fuel consumption.

A tune can for sure affect MPG in closed loop operation, it's not only about fueling.

Sure, timing can help too, but, for the most part MPG will go unchanged in real world conditions.

lol, I know you can tune a car for better mpg especially on MPG as the MPG's you have gotten are WAYYYYYYYYY better than mine and I can't drive fast that much more than you.
