rally power
Rob - You know that you're a hero of mine for doing with an X what is supposed to be done, but whoever gave you those plots is a tad clueless. The curves have to cross at 5252 by definition. Those are simply false plots. At a minimum, the X-axis is off. Yes, the peak of torque usually moves down when you put a plate on the turbo, but the curves still must cross at the same point. - Jt

The torque and hp Y axis have different scalings...most likely why they cross earlier. If they put HP at the same scaling, 450, it would take longer for HP to cross torque.
Looks fine to me.

You will like his site
This is the guy you guys talking about, here is some cars he tunes. Most of them is not even
on his site, like mine. For an example. Look around if you care.
He is not clueless at least...
The cars are there as an examples , but he does tunes a LOT more racing teams.
They come to him all over from the EU.
Here is one Skoda team he tunes...

No. I'm the one who is clueless, Rob. I teach Research Methods which include training people to look at all axis scales before looking at the data, to avoid exactly the mistake I made. My only defense is that that's my day job and this is how I take breaks from such.

I only know the numbers and a shape of the curve of a dyno sheet , but even those doesnt really means a lot to me. I go with how does it feel vs what number i got.
But since there is 0 rally car dyno sheet on the forum that is why i made this thread. Also i made a dyno sheet picture with my camera, when he was working on it. I am not sure that is a final numbers, can be even higher. Not much though , he finished an hour later.

But basically it does gives you an idea how the Rally car power curb looks like.
How you like the Skoda??

I'm not sure why I like Skodas so much. Part of it is because they are underdogs. Part of it is because I like Sebastien Ogier. But a lot comes from when Skodas were the heaviest WRC cars and I always seem to be driving the heaviest car in my class.

I think the Polo WRC is basically the next generation of those.Last edited by Robevo RS; Sep 4, 2012 at 04:38 PM.
Very interesting.... I'm glad you posted this. I'm envious of the torque curve even if the hp is low.
Especially on the Skoda in that chart.... 523ft/lbs @ 3500rpm!!!!! Holy cow!
I wish we had more AWD fun cars in America.... That car sounds like sex in the video!
