So I finally had a chance to get my X dyno tuned locally on Open Source. I considered the e-tune option, but I really wanted someone to be able to spend dedicated time on my car and tune it in 1 sitting. This also kept me away from doing WOT pulls on random roads hoping to avoid cops and etc.

I hit up the guys at Kozmic Motorsports (formerly SSP TX) in north Houston, TX and scheduled a dyno tune along with install of a few parts. These guys are extremely professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly they're nice and easy to talk to. David advised me on a good mod path and Eric walked me through what to expect with the tune and a thorough debrief of it afterwards. These guys are very thorough and don't ever seem to get tired of answering any questions, and trust me I had a ton of them

I immediately notice that the car has great throttle response, part throttle is improved quite a bit, and WOT is addicting now too. The car just pulls and pulls, it truly feels like what I had hoped it would feel like when I bought the car back in late February. I really do feel like the car is a totally different animal and I can't wait to get behind the seat again.

All in all, I am very very happy with the results from my tune. Stock cars typically put down between 220-225whp on this particular heart breaker dyno. I would happily recommend anyone to check out the guys at Kozmic motorsports, you won't be disappointed.

Next up will hopefully be a stock frame turbo upgrade, already have ID1000cc injectors sitting in my room. Now i just need to save up for whichever turbo I decide to go with!

So they're Kozmic now? I thought they were Kozmic and then became SSP-TX, but it's very possible I'm wrong

 

They just changed the name a week or so ago back to Kozmic.

Kozmic27 is the owner, which is probably what got you confused. he's been known tuning as Kozmic27 independently, then opened a shop under SSP-TX, and is now independently Kozmic

Nice I've been meaning to go there and check out their shop.

My dealer apparently sells them a lot of cars and every time I come in for service or something basically yells at me for not having done anything to the car and not having seen them yet because of all the happy customers.

I've never seen that from a dealership before also I think you guys are working with an old friend of mine from my 240sx days Chris he just got an 08 Evo after his 5.0 got totaled. Seemed happy about your shop when I talked to him last (been a couple of weeks).
