Road Race Engeneering Tune 335HP

Finally after a little over a year I got my 2012 GSR tuned at RRE. It's raining pretty hard so I didn't get to really push it but the couple of times I did I was impressed. Finanlly I can feel it pull! Thanks to Mike at RRE. Took his time to explain everything to me.

Mods are:

Ultimate Racing Test pipe and Cat back
RRE 3 port
ETS Intake
ETS UICP

Ended up at 335HP and 334 Torque

Great power for such little mods Ive only been to RRE's shop once, i was very impressed to say the least. The RRE crew definitely knows their Evo's & DSM's..

91, unfortunately 93 nowhere to be found in Southern CA. As soon as E85 gets a little closer ill probably do that.

Been driving around with the intake and cat back about 8 months now and have been keeping off of WOT to be safe. It will be nice to get that feeling again. Putting the test pipe on did make it louder and better sounding. Not better due to being louder just a better sound. The UR cat back already sounded good to me. The test pipe was just a bonus. Not sure the Prius drivers are going to appreciate the smell but I love it sitting at the light. Brings me back to my teenage years driving my VW's with built engines. I am amazed how much a cat reduced the fumes. Lol

This new found power should hold me over a few months but I have a feeling I won't be completely happy until I can get to 500 plus. Growing up with a father that always had fast toys and me riding crotch rockets on and off since I was 21 (I'm 43 now) I'm afraid my sense of what's fast is screwed up. At 80 mph on the freeway I feel like I can just jump out and be ok. Crazy to think what a F1 driver must feel like driving his family car down the street.

i hear yah uscbryan , im 40 and dad had fast cars and a lead foot and i raced dirt bikes growing up and did the crotch rockets. 110 would be a better speed limit on the highway if you ask me.

I agree. My father had a kids seat in the back of his dune buggy when I was like 4. Remember going to the sand dunes and all the sand rails racing up these hills that seemed straight up. After that he got into boats. Had a 500 inch Chevy with a huge NOS shot on a 18 foot jet boat. It was like a seat with an engine. He was letting me drive that from the age of 11. Lol. I remember figuring out how to turn the NOS on so when I got far enough down river so he wouldn't hear it I would turn it on and push the button. It was like a rocket. Later on in life he told me he knew I was doing it. He just thought it was funny to have other boat owners tell him that they tried to race me and I beat them. Lol these days he would probably be arrested for child endangerment.

Feels much better. Sounds better as well. Test pipe made it sound more aggressive. I don't think 350 is really doable with those mods. You may get a little closer by getting the bigger intercooler and AMS downpipe. I'm
Thinking of going e85 if they open one closer to me. I think that my best bet at getting over 350. At least until I can get a larger turbo.

I was considering a downpipe it might be worth it if it can yield another 10-15 whp. No e85 stations around me either so it sucks.... Closet one is like 30 miles away but I won't be going e85 anytime soon so it's fine lol. Wish we had 93 octane our gas is crap.

Yea we only have 91 here. The E85 station are getting closer. They put one in about 10 miles from my work which would be about 20 miles from my house. If they get one right by my work or home I will do it. Carry a couple containers in the trunk when i go to the canyons just in case.
