2012 gsr bolt ons 93oct

I retuned this 2012 GSR after he put a FMIC on.

Loc: PA / 50F
Fuel: 93
ECU: 58010005

Mods:

Walbro 255
3" TBE (no cat)
Upper ic pipe
Grimmspeed 3 port
Buschur FMIC

Boost on this run went to 26psi then where the HP peaked it was around 21-22

16* uptop.

for the final tune though i did remove the torque so the car is safer to drive. the driver is not that used to power and is fairly young.

this one peaks at 25psi and at peak HP is 21psi as well

max smoothing of 6 this is 338whp.

Here is a video of a pull during the tune:

I had him video the RPM gauge + wideband during tuning because he did not have a loggable wideband. this works quite well and i accept it as an option for tuning with. It also allows me to hear the tone of the vehicle which is a plus. I keep afr right around 11.3

Thanks man! sorry i forget your name. No didnt have to do anything really for this car except update the evoscan data xml for the golden evo file and yes i did enable mode 23 in the rom.

It did turn on some kind of limp mode during tuning that we noticed. but once we cleared the cel it did not return.

Ya i don't know how much the FMIC helped. it should help quite a bit with 93octane and allow you to run more timing, but these cars do not like high boost so i prefer to keep that down and run the timing up on them instead.

I posted a video of a pull during the tuning session also just for entertainment. we had to do those in order for me to dial in the AFR since he did not have a loggable wideband.

My names Mat lol

I was just curios since we were having some trouble on the 2012 with evoscan and logging. Couldn't get any VD logs but we will try again once I figure out why it wasn't logging correctly in Evoscan.

Thanks for sharing Tom.

I did also on my first time doing one. heres what you have to do. go to http://goldenevo.com/ then download the evoscan data XML and put it in the evoscan data folder then select it from the drop down then it will read normal.

Ill check the XMLs again, but I know for a fact that the ECUflash XMLs are good. Ill have to look at the Evoscan again too double check. Thanks for the reminder, I probably overlooked that.

Question..... I'm not a pro or anything but Isn't the car a tad rich during spool up? Any particular reason to doing so? I figure most tuners start spool a little lean and then richen it up , uptop.

cars around 12.5-12.8 at spool. no reason to richen a car at higher RPM. all that does is rob power. on 93, usually 11.5 is a good target. i kept this car around 11.2-11.5.

This is Correct.. anything richer than 11.3 my car would knock up top.. and this is with 91 octane.

peak torque your AFR for an X should be around 11.8ish.. and 12.5-12.0 during spool.

Good JOB Tom!
