Boostin Performance Tuned GSR
Boostin Performance Tuned GSR
Hey Guys the name is Patrick I drive a 2011 Graphite Gray GSR.
I have totally dragged on making this thread but would like some input from a few people on the numbers.
Boostin told me they like it when their customers make threads sometimes so I figured it is a boring Saturday night so I will finally get around to it.
2011 GSR 5 speed (****ty, notchy trans
)
Most of the performance mods I can remember on it:
Full bushur racing exhaust
test pipe
downpipe that eliminates stock 02 housing
ets intake
ets frontmount
ets upper and lower ic pipes
grimmspeed 3port ebcs
works short shifter with underhood and console bushings
aem boost and wideband guages
Probablly forgetting a few things but that is the general jist of it.
Anyway on to my experience at boostin, I am VERY happy. Kristin and Devin are great people and treated me very well. That is really all there is to it, I work quite a bit since I have my own business, however Kristin was always great at getting back to me and set everything up, I brought the car in, left it for the day and car was ready next day no hiccups! Price wise I thought it was also very fair, I do wish I had maybe more of a chance to talk a bit more with Devin about the tune however it is understandable since he is very busy.
Now to my questions, the car feels amazing no doubt about it, I mean really day and night. But I am wondering what other people with my mods are putting out? When I look through some of these threads it looks like a bit more. Though I did tell Devin to keep it a bit conservative and he did, so this is in no way one of those "Oh I should've made more power" threads, this is just a simple what do you guys think of the power I made? Car holds boost incredibly and has beaten quite a bit other evo x's that claimed to be making more than 320, so that was good fun.
Anyway, thanks again to the whole Boostin crew, will definitely be returning for more work this summer once the snow is gone!

Yeah I wouldn't be too worried. There's a lot of variables on a dyno that will eat up power. Tire size is one. From the factory wheels and advans to my rpf1 and 275/35 star spec I lost 14 hp. My car still ran 12.2 at 112 with 327 hp on STM's dyno so I wouldn't look much into the number.
i made just 475whp on devins mustang dyno when he tuned it
I went to a dynojet dyno day a month later and i put down almost 550whp
Devins dyno reads really low its a loaded dyno

Good to see another happy customer out of Boostin. Pretty sure i saw your car there in August when I drove up for my 60k service and a retune. Car looks good man! As far as the numbers go, I made basically the same power as you 320/320 with slightly fewer mods as I am running the stock i/c and downpipe but everything else is the same. Don't worry about the numbers as they don't mean much, it's all about how the car runs and you can't complain about a Devin tune.

Thanks guys service was seriously top notch, I told them to inspect my car as I was iffy about the dealer I bought it from and they noticed that the dealer had put incorrect spark plugs in the car so big plus to them for catching that also!
Ets Michael, LOVE all of the products you guys make and that I have bought from you, will definitely be returning.

Devin said his dyno reads around 10% lower then other DynoJets in the area. Good to see a comparison between Boostin' Mustang dyno and a DynoJet that verifies that.

Buguy - Glad you are happy with the tune! With that power, the car should go mid to low 12's.
I'm so proud to hear all about the great experiences people have had here at Boostin. We try and go above and beyond for our customers, and it feels great to know it has been recognized.
Thanks!!
Good info. Its funny also because a tuning post with 475 WHP results gets a whole different reaction then a post claiming 550 WHP, even though on the street or at the track they are the same thing.
Thanks Michael.

Enjoy the new found power. Numbers look right as mine made 304/314 on the same dyno with similar mods minus the dp and frontmount. Boostin does great work and has fantastic customer service
