2011 MR with bolt-ons - English Racing tuned

Went down to English Racing this past Friday to get my AMS downpipe installed, and a tune. I'm happy with the results, car pulls so smooth and feels so solid - It's a blast to drive!

Guys at English are all cool and professional - they let me borrow one of their 400whp Evo's to go kill time and get food while they finished up my car. Thanks Myles, Az, and Aaron!

Mods:
HKS RSR Intake
HKS hard IC pipes upper & lower
AMS downpipe
Depo racing HFC
HKS Hi-Power Exhaust
Grimmspeed 3Port

Chart:

317whp/307tq on 92 pump gas.

Do you feel like you noticed any difference by adding the down pipe in terms of power or something ekes like throttle response or quicker spool up?

Hard to say, since i didnt drive it with dp installed before the tune.
From what research has told me though, should affect hp numbers yes.

Oh I see...I was just curious b/c I've read where some people said skip the DP until you upgrade the turbo b/c it doesn't make much more power, etc.

It does make power, especially if you go with a dump. What most people say though is that the install isn't worth it (very difficult) unless you are upgrading the turbo at the same time. By doing the install at the same time you cut down on the difficulty/labor aspect and also get more of a benefit from the larger turbo.

Oh, I see. So not worth it based on the effort and the amount of gain from it. I don't plan on upgrading my turbo, at least not for a while.

It all depends. Installing the dp was a pain in the ***, but if you aren't in a hurry you can casually accomplish it over the weekend with the help of a friend. It does make power. For me, my first tune from English was 303 / 300 with a non O2 eliminated version (came with the kit I bought but not worth much imo). My last tune I added a 3-port and an O2 dump and made 335/318. A few variables in there, but overall it was noticeable to me and worth the rough weekend.

Those people would be incredibly incorrect. Stock to good O2 eliminator can be 20-25whp and I have seen O2 dumps make as much as 25 more than that at certain parts of the powerband.

Wow, yea that is more than I would have thought. Thanks for weighing in and providing more info. One question about the O2 eliminator, does it throw any codes on the stock ECU? I think I will be adding an aftermarket DP back to my list of mod plans...
