just watched a video of my car being tuned by the previous owner 6 months ago.. put down 355 I guess.i tried to get ahold of him but he won't reply. now it only runs 16lbs of boost.. think he had a cobb in it and took it out. and never put the restrictor pill back in it..

I noticed that you were considering replacing the bypass valve. I would keep the stock EVO X BPV if I were you. I put the Cobb XLE BPV on my car and wish I would have spent the $$$ elsewhere. The stock BPV is already a preety good unit and after you put a good intake on your car you will be able to hear it vent when you shift.

These are are OPINIONS. The stock bypass is a great piece, if you don't plan to run more than 26 psi on the car ever. I'm not sure how great the turbo smart BOV you bought is, but I'd recommend the Tial QR. With your mods, and a tune I'd guess 310 on a true reading mustang dyno. Also what a stock X dynos depends on the year. The 08-2010 may dyno 220's but my 2011 and my 2013 dyno'd in the mid-high 240's.

If you're looking for a decent mod path check out some of the threads on my car that are posted on this forum. I've come pretty close to making out what the stock turbo can do and there's nobody that's ever ran faster with it than I have.

Thanks for adding the psi limit on the stock bpv. I should have included that bit of info. I should have waited till I needed the ability to hold more boost before I purchased my Cobb XLE... In hindsight I wish I would have bought fuel injectors and a fuel pump first, would have cost me more but I would have to potential to gain more power.

Just an FYI, the AEM Tru Boost can be wired to run as a 3 port and the gauge is just a dummy boost gauge. I know it is an expensive alternative to the 3 port by itself, but for the guys that have purchased the AEM...that is the way to set it up. The MAC valve is the same as the Grim and Cobb.

definitely hold out for the ETS FMIC. Mike and the team there make very good stuff and the customer support is top notch. ...assuming u don't have it already....lol

Before I address that quote, nice number OP. Get that thing to the track and see what kind of mph you can get out of it. That's the numbers that matter.

As for the quote, even had you bought a pump and injectors and tried to make more power you would have needed an upgraded bypass valve anyway. Nobody switches to e85 and sets their target boost limit at 26 psi haha. On kill mode my stock turbo sees anywhere between 34-36 psi I believe. But at a drag strip after 1st gear the car probably sees a max of low 20's I'd assume because it just can't flow 30+ psi in the 5000 and up rpm range. The turbo is just flat out of steam
