Mods suggestion: better X inter cooler out there? And more...
I'm planning to get a $$worthy and reliable FMIC with nice power gain for my 2011 X MR. The car currently have Cobb cb and HKS drop-in with a tune picking up 293hp and 309tq. I am thinking of add an turbo inlet (Cobb or Perrin?), grim speed, UICP along with the FMIC. How is Perrin 3.6' intercooler VS ETS 4' one?
How much gain would I expect from those mods after retune?
Thx!!!

I always liked cast end tanks which is why I went with the AMS vs the ets.
I know this wasn't even an option but If I were to choose between ETS and Perrin I would most likely go ETS mainly because of what I have seen in the customer service department on this and other forums.

Customer service from Perrin? What about the intercooler itself? I think Perrin is also cast and looks like has better shape for airflow...
PS: how about AMS vs Perrin since they are both cast end?

I have the ETS 4in intercooler and upper and lower piping sitting in my room waiting to be installed. The quality of the parts are excellent and the customer service is superb. I can't wait to put everything on once the semester is over
if it helps at all, I posted my experiences with my ETS 3.5" in my build thread (in sig)
honestly I think 3.5" is enough for most people, and ETS builds damn good cores - I am constantly surprised at how low my intake manifold temperatures stay after constant runs
combined with the price and customer service, I wouldn't bother spending extra money on questionable gains from other intercoolers - spend it on something else imo
