Nice #s Will! Where did you get tuned? My wife and I are thinking of moving to NH next year. We'll be visiting in Oct. What town do you live in? Do you drive the EVO year round, and if so, how does it handle the New England winters?

nice bit of torque there! Does dynojet read torque higher as well as HP compared to mustang dyno?

HP is a function of TQ. It just reads tq and then calculates HP.

HP = (RPM * TQ)/5252

Actually, a Dynojet reads HP, then calculates TQ, using the RPM pick up.

A Mustang dyno on the other hand, reads TQ, then calculates HP.

May I chime in? Sometimes when there is a snowstorm, strangely there is no traffic on the roads. I find it with dedicated snow tires (Michelin PA4 in this case) on my Evo, I can easily pull a bus length on the curvy ramp against cars (also on snow tires, but RWD) that cost twice as much.

Just make sure you get some sort of rust prevention for your Evo, else the suspension components won't last for many winters. I have undercoating (basic Ziebart) on my Evo, and it has been trouble free since forever. I had no rust prevention on my other Honda, and I used to spend on an average of $1,500 to $2,000 annually to replace rusted bolts, joints, arms, knuckles, etc.

Thank you for the info! If we move I will definitely have to get our cars undercoated with this stuff. How much does an application cost typically and how often do you have it done?

Man, I am gonna be doing mine by myself with an applicator brush and some POR-15. Not expensive and will not take me long to do.

Typically undercoating is around $100.

How often do you have to have the undercoating applied? Annually?

Yes, annually is recommended. Does this stuff gunk up and add weight over time or does it kind of melt off in the summer like the other types?

I undercoat my car only once and based on the review I hear about Ziebart, the coating should be good for 5 years.

It's like a layer of paint:
