Stock Rockford Sub Enclosure cu ft?

Does any one know or can some one measure the stock rockford sub enclosure cubic feet for me?? You can do this by removing the sub out and measure how many buckets of water you can fill it up. or you can use packing penuts to measure the enclosure. I want to see if i can mount a Jl audio 13TW5 sub in the stock sub enclosure with minimal modifications. I plan to re-fiberglass the stock sub enclosure.

the box is roughly 18 inches X 14 inches X 6inches. would give you almost 1 cubic foot. of course the speaker takes up some space and the back has a post that bolts to the back of subwoofer. I woud say if you box had .5-.6 cubic feet of space you would be close. now the real job is to get your on Woofer and build the box you need for it. rather than try and use this box. it will limit you woofer options.

would you say less than a cubic foot or less than one cubic foot, with all the curves into consideration? The 13TW5 only requires .852 ft including driver displacement.

1.The oem box is .675 Cubic feet, it is listed on the Rockford web make under Oem system.

2. 13tw5 will not fit, but then you don't have enough air space for it anyways. If you take out the oem sub,yes you would need little modifications to make sure its nice and seal. but a 12tw5 will work, but you will need to go aftermarket amp. The
oem amp cant power the sub anyways.Just cut out a new ring baffle, and mount your new sub.

3. I allready tried this, and it sound ok, alittle better then the rockford even with a JL 500/1. but not worth the $500 you will spend on it. If you are going to use the oem box air space, go with a 10 w3, they only need sealed box volume: 0.625 cubic feet, and req. very little modification. Plus you would only need a jl 250/1

Thanks man! I was planning to re-fiberglass the box anyways. I want to use the stock bracket for a perfect fit. i was planning to cut the front panel off and refiberglass the whole thing. i am still unsure if i want a 13tw5 or a 10w7. A 10w7 will take a bit more work though.

^ have anyone of you guys put aftermarket subs in yet??

You will have to bring out front panel alittle bit like 3 inches,
Just go with the 10w7, bust since you are reglassing the box, might as well go with a 12w7.
Im not much of a bass head, but im not saying the SQ on a W7 is bad by any mean .
I gone with a JL 12" W6v2 I think its one of the best SQ sub at that price, if not THE BEST. Plus you only need a JL500/1 to perfect match the power. Ill update with
a Picture in the Morning.

Updated picture Replace OEM SUb BOX with Custom FiberGlass BOX
Look at the last picture. The Box use the oem mounting point on top.
