Stupid Question about base head unit

Hey, so I'm going to be picking up a X in a couple weeks or so & am wondering if the base head unit has an aux-in option & whether that is located in the front or back of the unit. Also, can the unit play CD-Rs & CD-RWs (I would hope so, since it is 2008), but not mp3 cds right? It's a long drive back from South Coast (where I will be picking it up) & I want to make sure that I have something to listen to. Thanks

^ Its plays your raw Data MP3 file off a CDR-CDRW.
Just burn you MP3 to a Blank Disk, Should hold about 100 to 120 song.
Yes there is aux input, Its has a RCA left and right channel plug in , the cubby slot
next to the ashtray. Make sure the dealer has your Free 6 month of Satilite radio going before you leave the dealership. to Activate you aux input just press down
the power button for a few sec.

If you get the SSS package you have a 6 disc CD Changer + Aux input in the cubby below the radio. If you get the NAV you get a 20gb harddrive with 6gb allocated for music for upload to + the Aux Input in the cubby below the head unit. If you get the base model stereo you will get NO Aux Input whatsoever.

Hope that helps.

Anyone know about the MR's? http://media.mitsubishicars.com/deta...43744&mime=ASC

According to this the Tech package and the Accessory Navigation Package have different head units. Does anyone know if this is the case?

^ That's actually what I will be picking up in a few weeks (an MR), I just assumed the base radio would be the same because I have no other info to go with

Simply put - Yes.

I have a GSR base model, no Nav. It plays MP3 CD's like a champ.

Which is good, because if I had to go back to standard CDs after using an integrated iPod hookup in my previous vehicle, I would be so sad...

MP3 CDs will fill the gap until I replace the HU and throw some gauges in.
