I picked up my PB Evo X MR today (second in Colorado, I think), and on the lot I was playing with the stereo, but I didn't think Sirius was activated yet. I was given a number to call.

When I got home, Sirius had somehow activated itself, so I called them up and they said it was activated in March 2008, but the car was only manufactured in April 2008, according to the sticker on the car! I don't see how that's possible. Anyway, they told me to contact my dealer to get my 6 month trial restarted.

Has anyone else had this issue?

You may have got the dealer demo activation of the Sirius radio. They put the dealer demo code on mine and I got 18 months free!

 

I had this EXACT same issue in my X MR. I called SIRIUS to activate and they told me it was activated in March.

The dealer said they can't do anything? WTF?! I'm supposed to get 6 Months Free!!

 

Same thing here. I called to activate Sirius to find out its already been activated. They said talk to dealer. Call dealer and they say nothing they can do. I could personally care less as I listen to my ipod but its just poor practice.

 

Do you guys have all the channels? I am missing some of the channels.

 

Like what channels? All the ones I listen to are there...

Also wait a little bit longer and you'll have the XM channels too, haha!

 

When I got the car the Sirius was already working. I didn't have to call in or anything to start it... does that mean mine's already been activated?

yeah i just got an MR also, activated it last night and was told that its been on since march , so i have to go back to the dealer

 

yea dealer activation is freaking great. And if you know the right people you can get multiple dealer activations :X *evil grin*
