Stock Sirius Receiver

I tried searching, but did not find anything.

Does the stock head unit, no nav, come with a separate sirius receiver or is it built in
I'm looking into getting an aftermarket DVD/Nav and I wanted to know if I'm going to have to spend some more money thats not being put into speed.

Thanks.

I have the MMCS Nav unit. The Sirius receiver is behind the glove box. I would think that your non-Nav unit would be the same. As best as I can tell, the Sirius connects to the head unit through one of the various speaker harnesses. I would be nice and make sense if it had a dedicated harness.

Take out the glove box and the panel at the bottom of the passenger side dash; it's held in with some push-pins. Then lay on your back on the floor and you'll see the receiver.

I doubt that the stock Sirius unit will work with any aftermarket head unit...

I'm pretty sure you can use the Sirius receiver with an aftermarket HU. You might need an adaptor of some sort. I think places like PAC make these.
