I just got an X

I want to activate the Sirius, but is it tied to the head unit or an external brain? My X didn't have nav, but they are installing it next week. If Sirius is tied to the head unit, I don't want to activate for a week to only reactivate again next week.

I don't think I can do another commute without sirius. Radio makes me want to gouge my eyeballs out.

 

lol i found out that you need to order the sirius brain for the nav unit and you need new wireing harness for the roof as well. As well you need a new antena base cause thats the receiver for the sat radio. I got both for cheap at mitsu, but now waiting to get the sirius brain box. Not gonna by it from mitsu they want 1300$ for it. So i am still looking for the Brain box. It is installed right behind the glove box to thr right side. Your nav unit will most likely not come with it.

 

I rolled everything in with the purchase, so it better work right . The nav and bluetooth is on a we-owe from the dealer.

I've got the SSS, so it has the Sirius. Activated it this evening.

 

Just got the car back and everything is working great. The NAV is WAY better than the SSS headunit from a functionality perspective.
